A third-generation Arizona native, Susan Rider has lived and worked in Tucson, Arizona for most of her life.  After studying art in Marin County, Phoenix,  and Tucson, she earned her BFA from the University of Arizona in 1980.  An art teacher at the middle-school level in the heart of Tucson, Susan has shown in galleries in Tucson, Mill Valley, CA and Los Angeles.  The artist has paintings, etchings and portraits in private collections in Germany, Mexico, and across the United States.
